Depending on what ingredients you use, this recipe can be gluten-free. What I particularly love about this recipe is that it doesn’t take long to cool. Most recipes can range from 1-4 hours, but since this is a thicker mixture it doesn’t take nearly as long. This recipe is great for a night out on the patio or for your kids’ lunch. This recipe is enjoyable for both adults and children. The marshmallow is guaranteed to brighten a kids day and the walnut crunch is favored by many adults.
I would recommend, that if you find yourself without mini marshmallows there’s no use in running to the store. You simply can cut up a large marshmallow into fourths and use that instead. If you really like the crunch of walnuts, I would recommend adding a generous sprinkling to the top. Lastly, I found myself dealing with hard chocolate after I had melted it. I left it on the counter to do something really quick, and when I came back it was hard. I would suggest, that after heating your chocolate mixture you immediately stir in the marshmallows and walnuts so that it isn’t hard to stir.
